Gran Destino Tower at Disney's Coronado Springs Resort

The gorgeous Gran Destino Tower at Disney's Coronado Springs opened in July 2019. It is considered a moderate resort but feels more like a deluxe resort.

A very grand entrance with gorgeous furnishings is the first thing guests see. Spanish, Mexican, and Southwest American cultures influenced the decor throughout. I enjoyed the beautiful red, orange, and yellow color theme in the lobby, halls, and rooms. It felt very upscale!

Modern touches included ample workspaces, automated elevators, and a full bar with coffee & drinks.

B & I stayed in a Standard View - King Bed Room during our November/December 2019 trip. Our room (9111) was located on the 11th floor and was perfect for two adults. After a long day, it was nice to have several seating options. I loved the extra-long desk/table and quickly filled it with Minnie Ears, MagicBands, and new Disney purchases.

My favorite thing about our room was the bathroom. We are considering re-doing our bathroom similar because we loved it so much! The tile work was impressive.

Disney's Coronado Springs is considered an Animal Kingdom area resort. Bus transportation to and from the parks & Disney Springs is provided. Four bus stops are located at the resort with one stop at Gran Destino Tower. Conveniently Magical Express is near the main entrance of the Tower.

For guests wanting to cool off or relax, there are several pools. The Dig Site (main pool with slide) is about a 5-minute walk from the tower.

Hungry guests have a variety of dining options (food court, counter service, bar, and table-service), a short walk away. Toldeo - Tapas, Steak & Seafood, and Dahlia Lounge are located on the rooftop of the tower. Stunning views of Hollywood Studios can be seen from the rooftop.

B & I had appetizers and drinks at Dahlia Lounge followed by dinner at Toldeo - Tapas, Steak &Seafood. The food was incredible!

I recommend Gran Destino Tower for adult trips. The upscale dining option (Toldeo), Dahlia Lounge, and Barcelona Lounge made this a great option. The price point is great for the type of amenities provided. Families may be disappointed with the lack of "Disney" theming.
